FULL CIRCLE: Why This Album—and This Business—Mean More Than Ever
After 20 years in the music industry, I wasn’t sure I had anything left to say.
But then came FULL CIRCLE—our sixth studio album as Black Violin—and suddenly, everything clicked.
Set to release on May 2, 2025, FULL CIRCLE is our most collaborative, expansive, and soul-filled record yet. It’s the next step in a journey that’s taken us from orchestra class in South Florida to world stages, and back home again.
Our last album, Take the Stairs, earned us a nomination for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards. That recognition gave us the push to dig even deeper—and this time around, we brought the entire band into the studio and built the album together from the ground up. No egos, no pressure—just creativity flowing in real time. As I said during the process, “We were just chilling, being creative, and magic happens when that happens.”
That same spirit—collaborative, honest, free—is exactly what led me to launch Sylvester Residential.
Most people know me through the music, but what they might not realize is that my love for real estate has been building for years. I’ve always been about ownership, about building something that lasts beyond the stage. I started investing, learning, helping family and friends make moves. Over time, it became clear that real estate was more than just a side hustle—it was a calling.
Sylvester Residential was born from the same creative and entrepreneurial fire that started Black Violin. It’s about helping people find their space—physically, financially, and emotionally. And just like with the music, I don’t believe in cookie-cutter. I believe in listening closely, moving with intention, and creating something custom every time.
That’s why FULL CIRCLE hits different. It’s not just an album—it’s a moment of clarity. It reminded me of why we started in the first place: to challenge what’s possible, to mix classical with hip-hop, to break down barriers and build new ones. Whether it’s a viola solo that sounds like it was plucked from a dream (“Nothing has ever been recorded like that song”), or a laid-back melody that captures pure joy (“I’m in my element, I’m calm, I’m relaxed, I’m having a good time”), this record feels like home.
And so does Sylvester Residential.
